ADHD - Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
ADHD is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders in childhood. Usually, first diagnosed in childhood and often lasts into adulthood.
Children with ADHD have trouble paying attention and controlling impulsive behaviors, ie. Act without thinking about the consequences or be overly active. It impacts the individual in many aspects of their life including academic and professional achievements, interpersonal relationships, and daily functioning. It leads to poor self-esteem and social function in children when not appropriately managed.
There are three main types of ADHD, predominantly inattentive, predominantly hyperactive/ impulsive, and combined. Early identification helps to manage properly. There is no proper medication for ADHD. Without any medicine, we manage ADHD from our clinic.
